In everyMarais vase, the materials — terracotta and bleached hardwood — combine to create an object that is both art sculpture and functional. Inspired by the natural beauty of the raw material, Abrantes designed each piece to speak for itself. We named the vases after inspiring women of our time.

Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe, an American modernist artist. She was known for her paintings of enlarged flowers, New York skyscrapers, and New Mexico landscapes. O’Keeffe has been called the ‘Mother of American modernism’.

Inspired by Ray-Bernice Eames, an American artist and designer who worked in a variety of media. In creative partnership with her husband Charles Eames, she was responsible for groundbreaking contributions in the fields of architecture, graphic design, textile design, film, and furniture.
