Carving Chisel Guided Sharpening Stone

Description

This 1000 grit sharpening stone has pre-shaped grooves and hills which are useful for sharpening u-gouges and v-gouges. The flat side on the back of the stone can be used to sharpen straight blades. Perfect for sharpening your own knives and carving tools if you do not have access to a shop.

How to use:

1. Soak in water before sharpening.
2. Place on a wet towel to prevent slippage.
3. For double-beveled blades, sharpen each side 10-15 times using the same angle and force on each side. Sharpen at a 15 degree angle.
4. For single-beveled blades, sharpen the beveled side 10-15 times at a 15 degree angle. To finish, flip the blade to its backside a pull it a few times across the stone to remove the burr.

Care Instructions: Soak in water only before use. Keep dry when not in use and store dry.
